TodayRSS has no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. We, the developer, don't run servers that receive your data. Your feeds, reading and saved articles stay on your devices and in your own iCloud account. A few features need outside services, and each one is listed below.
Deleting TodayRSS removes this data from your device.
If you're signed in to iCloud, TodayRSS syncs your feed subscriptions, folders, some settings, saved articles (including their offline content) and tags between your devices. This data is stored in your own private iCloud account through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit. We can't access it. See Apple's Privacy Policy. To stop syncing, turn off iCloud for TodayRSS in the Settings app.
TodayRSS downloads feeds, articles and images directly from the websites you subscribe to or open. Like any web request, those sites can see your IP address and the time of the request. Their own privacy policies apply.
Site icons: to show each source's icon, TodayRSS requests it from Google's favicon service, which receives the website's domain name (for example, "theverge.com"). No other information is sent. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Newsletters: if you use the newsletter-to-feed option, the Kill the Newsletter website opens inside TodayRSS, and what you enter there is handled by that service.
ChatGPT features are off unless you add your own OpenAI API key. TodayRSS asks for your permission before saving the key. With a key saved, TodayRSS sends the following straight from your device to OpenAI:
These requests go to OpenAI under your own API account and never through our servers. OpenAI handles the data under its Privacy Policy and API terms. Remove your key in Settings to stop sending data to OpenAI.
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. TodayRSS uses RevenueCat to check what you've purchased. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase history and basic device information such as the iOS version and country. It does not receive your name or email. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
TodayRSS does not require an account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
